The easy-to-use optical smoke detector with hush features a 10-year battery which means you won’t need to replace the battery for the entirety of its lifespan. With a photoelectric sensor, this unit detects the formation of smoke and provides an early warning for a potential emergency thanks to the 85dB alarm. And unlike ionisation detectors, this is less likely to trigger a false alarm caused by steam from a bathroom or kitchen.

The optical smoke detector comes with a range of useful features, including a test and hush button that silences the alarm and reduces the unit's sensitivity for ten minutes. This large button also allows you to check that the smoke alarm is functioning correctly.

In addition to its functional button, this smoke detector is supplied with fixings as standard and has a warning LED and a low battery indicator. It is fully compliant with EN14604:2005 regulations, ensuring its quality and reliability, and manufactured by Mercury.
