Fire extinguishers need to be stored so that they are in a fixed position, visible, and ready to use. Fire extinguisher stands are an important accessory that fulfils these requirements for fire extinguisher storage. The average weight of a 9 litre water fire extinguisher is around 15kg, and for these and similarly heavy extinguishers where a wall isn't strong enough to take the weight, such as plasterboard, extinguisher stands are the best solution.  Fire extinguishers stands are an alternative to mounting an extinguisher to a wall, which usually requires drilling and mounting with a bracket – a stand is a simple method of storage that can simply be placed in any suitable location.
