The intumescent acrylic sealant, aka intumescent mastic, is supplied in a 310ml cartridge and is perfect for sealing gaps around fire doors, windows, cables, pipes, joints, voids and even small holes in fire-rated structures. Classified for fire sealing all types of construction and building service penetrations, the intumescent mastic consists of a high-end formula, certified worldwide.
Providing very high sound insulation, it's simple to apply with a smooth surface finish. Hardening quickly, it's tack-free after an hour and hardens within a month to provide the full fire-rated performance to prevent the passage of fire and smoke for periods up to and beyond four hours by expanding at temperatures of approximately 180°C. Permanently flexible helping to accommodate movement of up to 12.5%, the acrylic sealant also maintains the acoustic design of walls.
Our white PFP intumescent acrylic sealant is suitable for indoor use on most surfaces, including concrete, masonry, steel, gypsum, glass, plastics and most non-porous surfaces, and can be over-painted; minimum depth and maximum width of the joints are included in the installation instructions below. With a long shelf-life, the mastic is CE marked, UL-EU Listed, and has been tested to meet the requirements for EN 1366-3:2009 and is perfect for the installation of fire-rated boards.
