Our fire door protection pack for fire doors is designed to protect the areas of a door where intumescent strips cannot be placed, such as the hinges and lock. All ironmongery installed on a fire door must be fitted without compromising the integrity of the complete fire door assembly. This is of particular importance where ironmongery is rebated into the door such as hinges, locks, latches and concealed door closers.

Providing a 30 and 60-minute rating (matching the integrity of the door) tested to the latest British and European standards, including BS 476 part 22: 1987 and BS EN 1634-1: 2008. Unaffected by moisture, humidity and atmospheric pollution, the intumescent sheets will expand in the event of a fire to prevent fire and smoke from spreading through the door ironmongery.

Each pack contains six 30x100mm hinge pads and a 300x200mm intumescent sheet which can be cut down to size for the lock, latch and door closer. Each sheet is only 0.8mm so requires minimal additional rebating and remains flexible to work with without cracking.
