  • Anti-Fatigue Mats

Anti-fatigue mats should be placed in areas where workers have to stand for prolonged periods of time, ideally at workstations, production lines and food preparation areas. When you stand on a hard floor all day long, problems such as muscle fatigue, stiffness and poor circulation are common.

Firstly, you need to ensure what you buy is correct for the job at hand. If you’re working in a wet area, or where grease and oil are likely, then you need a mat which will allow the water to drain away whilst providing extra traction to prevent slips and falls.

You also need to consider the durability of the anti-fatigue mat. If there is lots of traffic, then you need matting to withstand the tough demands, such as hardwearing nitrile rubber. With bevelled edges, trip accidents are less likely too. But another benefit of these mats is that they’re far more comfortable to stand on, as well as ensuring your feet, legs and back are under less strain.

Aesthetics may also need to be a consideration, although they’re generally black in colour with the option to have yellow edges for increased visibility. Plus, for the tradesman who works by himself, he or she needs something which is highly portable.

Our kneeling pads (much better quality than the cheap garden mats) can make working down on your knees much more comfortable, with a highly-adaptive version available for those required to lay down for their trade.

  • Other Specialist Mats

You can help to keep your business premises clean too by preventing moisture, mud, dust and other debris being tracked through your building on shoes. Whether it’s a doormat at the entrance which cleans the bottom of the shoe as people walk over it or an adhesive mat which takes the dust off shoes which ideal for the entrance of clean areas.
