A legal alternative to wedging a fire door open, the Hardwired Acoustic Door Holder will keep the door open for access and will shut when needed. Fire doors reduce the spread of fire to prevent damage and risk to life, but will only work when shut. This ensures that the fire door is closed as soon as the fire alarm is activated using a wired connection between the holder and the fire alarm system.

When the alarm is then activated, this causes the power to the Doormouse door holder to be cut. With zero residual force, this means the magnet will de-energise so the door will be immediately released. The magnetic door holder complies with EN1155 and is CE marked with IP51 protection.

Mains powered for use with a 24DC supply voltage, it features a manual release button to allow you to shut the door without activating the fire alarm. Suitable for installation on new and existing doors, the acoustic door holder has one part which fits to an adjacent wall or bracket, while the magnet plate fits to the door.

With 200 Newton holding force, the magnetic door holder has knockouts for back and side cable entry, is suitable for use in hospitals, and care homes, and should be used with a suitable door closer.
