Winter Safety Wear

When you find yourself outside and working in the cold weather, winter safety wear will help keep you cosy, dry, visible and, ultimately, safe from the hazards present on site. No matter the temperatures, work must carry on and you still have to comply with the regulations. With our range of winter workwear, you won’t mind going to work, even in extreme conditions.

Winter Safety Boots

Safety boots prevent you slipping over, whether that’s in snow, mud or on a wet floor, whilst ensuring your feet are dry and warm. Plus, they have all of the other safety features you may require, such as sole penetration to protect you from upturned nails and steel toecaps to prevent injury caused by dropping heavy items.

Winter Safety Gloves

Our range of gloves designed for the colder temperatures, you won’t lose the dexterity of your fingers which is essential for those who work with their hands. You could either choose an underglove which enables you to wear your ordinary work gloves, or choose gloves specifically for use in the cold weather. These may have a thermal lining, or are made of a material to increase grip.

Winter Hi-Vis

When the days are shorter and the nights longer, it’s important you remain seen. Hi-Vis plays an important part in this, whether you’re on site or just walking your dog along the road. With jackets, sweatshirts, fleeces, bodywarmers and trousers available which will ensure you’re visible, they also have the added bonus of keeping you warm and dry, even during a storm.

During the cold weather, it’s important to select clothing that will prevent you getting cold and wet to prevent minor and serious illnesses ranging from cold and flu to hypothermia.

If you don’t fancy changing your outfit, there are other things you can do to remain seen in the dark. These include reflective armbands and zip attachments, as well as headtorches.

Winter Headwear

They say we lose most our heat through our heads, and so one of the best ways to stay warm is to wear a hat. For most of us, we can simply put on a beanie hat (we sell one with an inbuilt LED light too), but for those on site who are required to wear safety helmets, consider treating yourself to a comforter to line your safety helmet. Alternatively, you could choose a winter hardcap, featuring a fleece lining with the protection of a bump cap.
