Conventional Fire Alarm Panels

With a conventional fire alarm system, every single fire-related device is connected to the control panel. Detectors and call points in each zone connect to the panel via individual loops. A signal is then sent whenever one of them is activated. This will then display on the panel which zone the potential threat was discovered in.

From there, it will then trigger all the sounders and beacons in the building to warn all the occupants that there is an emergency. This will cause any connected fire doors to close and stop the operation of lifts.

The conventional fire alarm control panel is the main communication hub of the whole system. It is from there users and engineers can control the system. And it is where devices on the system interconnect with each other too.
