Each cabinet is equipped with an adaptable shelf, engineered to fit within 76mm (3”) intervals, meticulously crafted from galvanized steel with a strategic design that guides any spills towards the rear and base, ensuring they are directed into a sealed and leak-proof 51mm bottom sump.

For added flexibility, the option of self-closing doors is available; these doors automatically engage and secure themselves as the surrounding temperature reaches 74℃. In case of a fire, the fusible link integrated within the doors melts, initiating this automatic response mechanism.

Each yellow safety cabinet has dual vents with flame arresters, four adjustable self-levelling feet, grounding connectors and a powder-coat finish which provides excellent chemical resistance. Plus all the warning labels are reflective, making them easy to see in different conditions, clearly saying 'FLAMMABLE – KEEP FIRE AWAY'.

All Sure-Grip EX Safety Cabinets for Flammables come with a ten-year manufacturer’s warranty and have FM approval. The dimensions for the flammable liquid cabinet are 1651mm H x 864mm W x 864mm D, internally measuring 1537mm H x 781mm W x 771mm D, and having a capacity of 227 litres (which is 60 gallons).

The safety cabinet is 10-minute fire tested up to 1,300°C which gives you more time for safe evacuation, and the internal temperature during fire tests kept below the auto-ignition temperature for the vast majority of flammable liquids. Overall, it either exceeds or meets the UK requirements of DSEAR 2002, COSHH, HSG51, and HSG140.
