Product Features

The ZOLL AED Plus Defibrillator ensures you can give immediate lifesaving assistance to anyone who is suffering from cardiac arrest when a quick response is absolutely vital.

Thankfully, with the ZOLL AED Plus, no prior training is required, meaning those with and without first aid training can use the defibrillator. This is thanks to the step-by-step visual, auditory and text prompts which walk the user through every stage so they stay calm and administer the appropriate care.

Defibrillators At Work

When someone is suffering from a cardiac arrest, every second really does count, and giving CPR and electrical shocks can prevent serious brain damage, or even save their life.

Defibrillators are now becoming increasingly common, and are found in company premises, sports centres, construction sites, shops, workplaces, public buildings and community areas.

Cost of Defibrillator Ownership

The Zoll is a smart investment thanks to the low total cost of ownership. Pads and batteries for ZOLL AEDs only need replacing every 5 years (or when used).

Most other defibrillators on the market require replacement pads every 18 months, with ZOLL pads having the longest shelf life of them all.

How Does The AED Plus Work?

From the moment you switch it on, the AED Plus will speak to you with step-by-step instructions to help check responsiveness, call for help, open the airway, check breathing, attach defib pads to the patient’s bare chest, supplying the shock, then starting and continuing CPR. This makes it as easy as possible and means you really can’t do much wrong.

The ZOLL AED Plus is also unique in that it features Real CPR Help. This provides a regular beep which is the rhythm to administer chest compressions, while the LED screen shows the depth of the compressions to indicate whether you’re pushing down hard enough.

When the pads are stuck onto the patient, the machine will analyze the heart rate of the patient. If the defibrillator recognises the heart as being in a shockable state, it will prompt the user to press the button in order to deliver the shock, before starting CPR.

ZOLL AED Plus Defibrillator Contents

With the defibrillator, you’ll receive a first responder kit. This contains a razor to shave the chest, scissors to cut off the clothes, a CPR face shield, alcohol-free wipes, a moist towelette and gloves. The standard electrode chest pads for adults are supplied with visual prompts to help you position them correctly (with a 5-year lifespan) and a long-life battery (with a 5-year stand-by mode).

Why Choose A ZOLL Defibrillator?

The lime green ZOLL AED Plus defibrillator lay rescuer has been a popular choice of public access defibrillator since 2002, you’ll find these everywhere including your nearest Tesco Superstore.

ZOLL is an American company founded by Paul Zoll, M.D. who was the inventor of heart pacemaker technology and was the first person to externally defibrillate a heart. Plus, many ambulances in the UK are equipped with a ZOLL defibrillator. Who better then to buy your defibrillator from?

Each unit is made in Boston, USA, and ZOLL is the only manufacturer to individually test each defibrillator which they produce. The defibrillators also carry out an automatic self-test to assure it is in a constant state of readiness.

Approval

All ZOLL defibrillators are approved by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), NRR, and BRC Guidelines and have a 5-year warranty. For use on children under 8 years old, you will require a set of the smaller Pedi-Padz which work in the same way.

For replacement pads, you will require the CPR-D Padz.

Please Note: Due to the specialist nature of this product, our defibrillators are not available on our standard next working day delivery service.
