The X-Sense wireless home hub is the perfect solution for taking the wirelessly-interconnected smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms in your home to the next level. Without this, you can still link the X-Sense ProConnected range of alarms so they all sound when one detects a threat, but having the smart home hub installed allows you to control these using the X-Sense Home Security app, anywhere and at any time. And don’t worry, the app is available for free on both Android and iOS.

Supplied with a power cable and adapter, you connect this to your home Wi-Fi – only compatible with 2.4 GHz networks – and then the wireless alarms in your home to the home hub one by one. From the app, you’re able to give each device a unique name, such as ‘Living Room Smoke Alarm’ or ‘Utility Room CO Alarm’ so they’re easy to identify. You can then test the devices using the app, monitor your home and you’ll even receive push notifications if any of the alarms activates.

The wireless home hub – also known as the X-Sense base station – even features an alarm of its own which reaches a loud 100 Decibels, meaning there will be no excuse for everyone in your home not being alerted to a potential threat. The device also includes an LED indicator and a button for silencing and pairing.

Don’t worry, it is easy to connect this to your app and then the X-Sense ProConnected alarms in your home using the instructions included. You’ll only require one of these and will connect with up to 24 devices. Manufactured by X-Sense with a 5-year warranty, the smart home hub can sit on any shelf or table near a power supply and has a compact design measuring 90 x 90 x 26.5mm.
