The wildfire fire rakehoe is a standard tool when it comes to the demanding job of tackling wildfires. Also known as a McLeod tool, it features a sharpened how edge which is suitable for cutting branches, roots and turf to remove debris from the path of fire, while the rake uses the sharp teeth to create a fire line which acts as a break in vegetation.
With a sturdy 1.35m yellow fibreglass handle, it’s corrosion- and rot-resistant, with the extra length ensuring you keep your distance from the flames. The two-sided galvanised blade bolts to the bottom of the handle for secure fixing, with safety pins to prevent it from rotating, but can come apart again for easy transportation.
Manufactured for Vigil Products, the McLeod wildfire rakehoe is ideal for holiday parks, country walking routes, campsites, farms and other outside spaces, it’s ideal for tackling a small grass fire before it escalates in size and severity. It's best partnered with our wildfire beater for complete protection.
