Our single fire hydrant standpipe with check valve is manufactured with quality aluminium alloy and is a simple solution to bringing water above ground from a mains underground hydrant. With a single standard UK 2.5" instantaneous outlet, you can securely connect the layflat fire hose. The check valve included is water company approved and stops water from running back through the standpipe once it has passed through.
The fire hydrant standpipe itself connects to the 2.5" female BSRT outlet and is only suitable for use during a fire. It comes supplied with a blank plug and chain to protect outlets from dust and rubbish. The hydrant is manufactured for Vigil Products with a working pressure of 25 bar and tested to 35 bar.
Standing tall at 932mm, don’t forget you’ll need a fire hydrant key in order to switch the flow of water on or off.
