Measuring 78mm wide and 48mm deep, the X-Sense smoke alarm conforms to EN 14604:2005, is UKCA approved, CE marked and BSi Kitemarked too so you have peace of mind you and your family are well protected. With a modern, compact design, it has mesh protection to prevent spiders and small insects from getting inside and triggering false alarms. In fact, the optical smoke detector is also less prone to activations caused by steam than older alarms.

With a red LED indicator on the side which flashes when activated, it is easy to control your alarm as this is also your button for silencing and testing the alarm. The sealed lithium battery inside ensures the battery cannot be removed, and you simply replace the alarm at the end of the smoke alarm’s 10-year life anyway.

Installation is easy – firstly, install the mounting plate using the anchor plugs and screws provided, and then you just place the alarm on and twist it to secure. When deciding where to install your new alarm, you’re best choosing a central position on your ceiling, ideally in a spot which isn’t obstructed by lights and beams.
