The electrode pads used by an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) need to be replaced after each use, so you’ll want a solution for this that is both affordable and of dependable quality. The electrode pads used by AEDs contain an adhesive gel that conducts the shock into the heart. Over time, this gel degrades and eventually loses its conductivity. This expiration can lead to ineffective, and therefore potentially fatal (by not working), shock delivery. You’ll need pads like these to ensure you have a reliable replacement on hand for when this occurs.
