The 2.5” Instantaneous Female to Male BSP Adapter is used in various fire brigade and industrial settings for securely coupling two hose systems. Complete with a blank plug and chain to keep the hose clear of dirt and debris when not in use, the instantaneous adaptor uses a spring-loaded plunger mechanism, operated by the turn handle, to ensure a secure connection under pressure.
Manufactured for Vigil Products of light alloy in accordance with BS 336, the fire hose adaptor joins a 2.5” Male BSP Thread to a 2.5" BS336 Instantaneous Female connection. With a maximum working pressure of 16 bar, you’ll often find the coupling adaptor used for connections between hoses, hydrants, fire engine pumps and other appliances and is a quick method of joining different coupling types.
