Designed for connecting two hose systems, the 2.5” Instantaneous Female to Female BSP Adaptor allows your fire brigade hosing to securely attach to a threaded outlet. On one end, there is a 2½” female thread compatible with BSP fittings, and on the other, a 2½” female instantaneous connection that fits standard BS336-type hoses commonly used by UK fire brigades, such as Type 2 and Type 3.
Complete with a blank plug and chain to keep the hose clear of dirt and debris when not in use, the instantaneous adaptor uses a spring-loaded plunger mechanism, operated by the turn handle, to ensure a secure connection under pressure too. Manufactured of light alloy for Vigil Products in accordance with BS 336 with a maximum working pressure of 16 bar, the fire hose adaptor is used by fire brigades and in industrial settings to connect hoses, hydrants, fire engine pumps and other appliances.
