With smoke and heat alarms in the range, you can also have a flood alarm installed behind the washing machine or in a basement so a leak or flood doesn’t go unnoticed.
There is also no obligation to connect these to the internet; they’ll work as usual, minus the ability to control them from your phone or tablet.
Connecting To The Internet
It’s easy to connect your wireless Cavius alarms to the Internet. When you purchase the alarm hub, this simply plugs into the back of your router and connects wirelessly to the compatible alarms in your home. It’s a one-off cost, and there are no service charges to worry about.
Once you download the free app, available on Apple and Android devices, it is then easy to check the condition of your alarms, to test them weekly, and to see which device activated the alarm. You can even name each alarm, so you know which one is the smoke alarm on the stairs.
Allowing you to manage the smoke alarms wherever you are, they’re compatible with the Google Assistant too. You can even add temporary users which allows you to have a trusted friend who would receive an alert to an alarm in your home, which is ideal for while you’re on holiday.
