Compliant with British Standard 8599-1:2019, the critical injury pack is designed for workplaces and situations identified as high risk in a risk assessment. Usually required for anywhere people may work with dangerous machinery and power tools, the first aid kit ensures you have the items required to help manage catastrophic blood loss after a severe traumatic injury.
Designed to supplement standard first aid kits, it includes large trauma and haemostatic dressings, an emergency tourniquet, clothing cutters, foil blanket, nitrile gloves and a guidance leaflet. The contents are then kept together within a zip-lock bag to keep them together.
The critical injury pack is recommended for a range of industries, including agriculture, forestry, construction, woodworking, glass cutting and even the handling of exotic animals. Its purpose if for stopping serious, life-threatening bleeds which may result from knife wounds, gunshots, blast injuries, amputation, and severe lacerations. While the haemostatic dressings clot blood independently of the body's natural processes, the tourniquet will staunch uncontrollable bleeding from limbs.
Please note this item is made to order and usually takes 2-4 weeks to be delivered.
