Our 600g car fire extinguisher is filled with an ABC powder and is often found in vehicles, homes, caravans, sheds and anywhere else where space is limited for fire protection is essential. Despite its compact size, it has an impressive 5A 21B fire rating and is supplied with a mounting bracket as standard which holds it securely whilst ensuring it can be removed quickly in an emergency.
Your new 600g powder fire extinguisher is CE Marked, manufactured to BS 6165:2019 and has a 5-year warranty for peace of mind. Most other small fire extinguishers of this size are not suitable for Class A fires (with BC rating), so with ours you get even more firefighting powder without paying any more.
To use your aerosol fire extinguisher, simply pull the safety clip out from the handle and then depress the button on top using your thumb while aiming at the base of the base and holding it upright.
The extinguisher bracket includes wall fixings, as well as adhesive-backed hook and loop fastener, meaning you can install the Vigil Products 600g powder fire extinguisher wherever and however suits your needs.
Suitable for cars, vans, caravans, boats, homes, truck cabs, portable buildings, small workshops, Hot Work and more.
Types of fire include Class A (wood, paper, cloth, etc), B (flammable liquids), C (gas - but never put out a gas fire if the gas cannot then be turned off) and safe around live electrical equipment.

The updated British Standard 5306-8:2012 Selection and positioning of portable fire extinguishers – Code of Practice states as follows:
"5.4.3 Use of powder extinguishers: The discharge of a powder extinguisher within buildings can cause a sudden reduction of visibility and can also impair breathing, which could temporarily jeopardize escape, rescue or other emergency action. For this reason, powder extinguishers should generally not be specified for use indoors, unless mitigated by a health and safety risk assessment."
Additionally, when looking to comply with Part 8 of the ADR regulations, ensure you meet the minimum dry powder fire extinguisher provision to suit the size of your vehicle.
If you are not sure what this means, please contact us any time or see our Fire Safety Survey service. Responsible extinguisher service technicians (including ours) may refuse to certify a powder extinguisher that is not suitable for the location.
