Fire extinguishers can be surprisingly heavy; a 9kg/litre standard extinguisher weighs in at an impressive 15kg. Unless your mounting hook is properly secured to a solid and sound wall, it is unlikely to take the weight. (Wall fixings are not supplied with our wall mounting brackets.) If you have any doubt about the ability of your wall to carry the weight, it might be better to opt for a free standing fire extinguisher stand, or mobile fire point solution.
