This Firex 4985 optical mains smoke alarm has a long-life sealed lithium battery backup (replaced the discontinued Kidde 223/9hill). Installation of this optical smoke alarm is simple plus it is interconnectable to up to 23 other Firex or Kidde Slick mains alarms. As with all our mains smoke alarms, it conforms to BS5839 Part 6 Grade D and has a 6-year warranty (including the battery). A single hush and test button is standard and the battery is included.

Optical alarms are suitable for smouldering fires and are to be used in hallways, bedrooms, and offices - a house should have a combination of optical and ionisation

Do not use in or near to a kitchen or shower room

Fixing requires two little screws and wallplugs (included) to screw to ceiling or use sticky pads

"ALMOST PERFECT"

EXCELLENT SERVICE,BUT FOR THE MORE EXPENSIVE END OF THE PRODUCT LINE I WAS SURPRISED THAT THE BACK PLATE OR ROOF FIXING PLATE CAME AS A DIFFERENT COLOUR FROM THE PRODUCT ITSELF OTHERWISE FINE.
