For fire-stopping a large hole, nothing beats an intumescent fire pillow. There are four sizes which are all flexible and suitable for both temporary and permanent installation. The material, when subject to heat, expands to fill the gaps with a flame-tight seal for up to 4 hours. The smallest 'sausage' size should be used to sit within cable trays.
Intumescent fire stop pillows can be used as either temporary or permanent fire barriers and are ideal for sealing cable trays and ducts through fire rated structures.
The pillows have been independently tested in accordance with BS476: Part 20: 1987
